I very much enjoyed hearing your talk last night at Brimsham Green School. It has enthused me with a determination to get out and do more as doing the rat run to work every day, just to pay the mortgage is far from satisfying! Keep up the good work and I look forward to hearing tales of your next adventure!

I have just read about the rescue in the BBC News by the oil tanker.
I do applaud the ideal of a low carbon footprint and all the other well intentioned ideology that goes with self sustaining and less damaging forms of energy, however it would have been good to have seena wooden boat from self sustaining forests and similar environmentally friendly sails and other kit used. Unfortunately I supect the carbon footprint to outfit this expedition was considerably higher than a viking long boat.

Dear Rich, Raoul and Ben. We are absolutely devastated for you all, hearing the news today about the end of the expedition. So many dreams. Words do little for the disappointment but you are safe, that is the only important thing at the moment. Safe trip home boys. All the best from Alistair and Adrian at Le Rocquier.
