We have been fortunate enough to have Alex Thomson, sponsored ocean racing sailor on side for the past couple of weeks. He has been brilliant in helping us find contacts to get cheap, discounted and even free kit to help communicate with the schools we are working with around the UK. We feel we are making a little progress in this area. It is after all one of the key components of our project, to be able to bring this expedition into the classroom. Using laptops, and batteries at -30 has its problems and being so remote on the ice-cap will present real challenges for us when trying to keep this kit working and fully charged.

We still have a long long way to go!
